Mike and Laura Allred’s latest sci-fi extravaganza X-Ray Robot #1 is just over two weeks away from hitting the shelves at your local comic book store and we’ve got an exclusive preview of the reality-bending new series. Mike Allred is a writer and artist best known for his series Madman, starring the ginchiest hero around, Frank Einstein. Allred has worked on a number of popular series include X-Force and X-Static with Peter Milligan, Silver Surfer (which he won an Eisner Award for) with Dan Slott, iZombie with Chris Robertson, and a slew of other colorful series’ across a variety of different publishers....

I’m taking this with a pinch of salt at this time, but speculation that Apple may be on the verge of making a hugely important acquisition are just beginning to cross financial market news wires this morning. These rumors follow weekend reports that Apple may be planning to make a bid for Facebook — though Facebook has reportedly rejected such assertions. Financial wires are reporting that market speculation now claims Apple could be on the verge of acquiring Adobe Systems, Sony or even Walt Disney!...

A long time Apple designer Christopher Stringer is set to launch a new home audio product as part of a new startup ‘Syng’. Stringer left Apple in 2017 after more than 20 years at the company. Stringer is believed to have left Apple partly because of Jony Ive’s retirement from product responsibilities. The Financial Times says Syng is looking to launch its first home ‘Cell’ speaker in the fourth quarter of 2020....

Epic Games is out with an update today that sees the launch of a new iOS app for game developers to improve virtual production. The Live Link Face app for iPhone and iPad lets game devs capture facial expressions in real-time and see them applied live to characters in Unreal Engine. Epic Games announced the news in a blog post today (via MacStories). The Live Link Face app makes use of Apple’s ARKit as well as the TrueDepth front-facing cameras on iPhone and iPad....

Ex-Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) President and CEO Jack Tretton believes that Sony is well-positioned to compete in the next generation console market. Although early rumors began surfacing about the PlayStation 5 several years ago, it wasn’t until 2019 that Sony officially announced details about its next-generation console. Although Sony isn’t yet referring to the next console as the PlayStation 5, it is likely that the name will stick given the company’s previous console system names....

The next stop on the Magic Arena Plane-Cation event will be Ixalan, where players can participate in a Treasure Constructed event that will eventually reward them with the full-art Unhinged Mountain basic land art for their cosmetic collection on the platform. An Epic Games antitrust complaint has been filed against Apple in Europe, following similar ones in the US and Australia. In this latest one, Epic claims that “Apple has not just harmed but completely eliminated competition” in iOS and iPadOS apps… Epic made the announcement today.
