In the comics, Dane Whitman is the heir to the mantle of the Black Knight. The first Black Knight, Sir Percy of Scandia, served at the Court of King Arthur himself. To be the Black Knight is to wield the mystical Ebony Blade, a legendary sword that was forged by Merlin from a meteorite he called the Starstone....

Evan Peters, who plays Quicksilver in the X-Men films, says he “would love” to star in a solo Quicksilver movie. Peters has portrayed the mutant speedster in two X-Men movies, and will reprise the role in Dark Phoenix. Peters also had a cameo as the character in Deadpool 2. The actor made his debut as Quicksilver in 2011’s X-Men: Days of Future Past wherein his character is recruited by a time-traveling Wolverine on a mission to change history and defeat the Sentinels....

Facebook is asking some users to upload a face photo to verify their identity when automated processes spot suspicious activity … The company told Wired that face recognition is automated, and that the photo is deleted from its servers as soon as verification is complete. It appears that the user is locked out of their account until they upload the verification photo. To guard against someone using an existing photo of a Facebook user to fool the verification system, Facebook checks that the photo is unique....

With Apple set to announce it’s European iPhone strategy later this week, a lot of questions still remain on the specifics of the deal. What we know: The carriers will be O2 in the UK, Tmobile in Germany, and Orange in France. Spain’s Telefonica might also pick up the device because of the O2 relationship. Even with the rampant SIM hacking, the devices will be locked to the carriers initially....

Comedic actor Marlon Wayans has revealed that the comic book role he’d most like to tackle is that of Plastic Man. Created by Jack Cole, the character originally debuted in Quality Comics before being acquired by DC. Foxconn yesterday officially confirmed its plans to build a $10 billion display manufacturing plant in Wisconsin, a move that had been rumored for a long time. Just a few days before that, however, President Trump touted that Apple had promised him 3 “big, big, big” factories in the United States, yet Foxconn’s new Wisconsin factory won’t be for Apple displays, but rather Sharp. Some have speculated that Trump may have gotten Foxconn confused with Apple, and a new report from The Wall Street Journal outlines just how unlikely it is for Apple to expand to the United States so quickly…...

It’s been more than two years since the popular game Fortnite was removed from the App Store after Epic Games updated it with a payment system that bypassed Apple’s in-app purchases. John Carpenter’s 1981 cult classic, Escape from New York, was one of the many sci-fi action films that populated 1980s. Apple’s latest updates to the Eurasian Economic Commission database have hit today, with a handful of new model identifiers to theorize about. After a leaker indicated that a new iMac model was coming at WWDC, the EEC database now lists a new desktop Mac with model identifier ‘A2330’, running macOS 10.15. This is adding more fuel on the fire that a new generation iMac is just around the corner, expected to end a decade-long run of the current iMac’s industrial design....

New deleted scenes from Avengers: Endgame have been released on Disney+ and here’s what each of them contains. In the lead up to the highly anticipated launch of Disney’s streaming service, the amount of new content from the Marvel Cinematic Universe was surprisingly low. Today saw the publication of court filings by both Apple and Epic Games, and in them we see that Epic accuses Apple of using app security as a “pretext” for its commission. The company also argues that Apple enables fraud by app users. In the run-up to the antitrust trial between the two companies, both sides were required to submit documents known as Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law. Each company presents the facts it considers relevant to the case, and the legal arguments on which it intends to rely …...

The cast of the upcoming MCU film Eternals, including stars Angelina Jolie and Richard Madden, was evacuated from their Canary Islands set after the discovery of an unexploded bomb. Eternals, coming out on November 6, 2020, features an all-star cast and tells the stories of a group of immortal beings with extraordinary abilities. The film is expected to help kick off the MCU’s Phase Four along with the release of the Black Widow prequel in May....

The creator of the Super Smash Bros franchise, Masahiro Sakurai, has offered his opinion on Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding in his latest article for Famitsu magazine, with one of his biggest complaints being the size of the game’s font. To say anything negative about the title is somewhat unexpected given that Sakurai and Kojima are actually quite close friends. The pair have long known each other and that same friendship is what led to Metal Gear Solid’s Snake being added to Smash Bros Brawl on the Wii....
