Eva Longoria has been selected to direct Flamin’ Hot, the biopic centered around the creator of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Longoria has previously worked as a director for a number of notable television shows, including Black-ish, Jane the Virgin, and The Mick. Flamin’ Hot was announced in February. It will tell the story of Richard Montanez. The son of a Mexican immigrant, Montanez grew up as a migrant farm worker. He picked grapes in the fields of Southern California before becoming a janitor at Frito-Lay....

American audiences eager to see the television adaptation of China Miéville’s The City and the City can take a look at an exclusive clip ahead of the North American premiere. At this time yesterday, the understanding was that the App had been removed from sale because it included an Easter egg which could enable streaming over 3G. Facebook announced today some major changes in its News Feed, which will be available for iOS users in the coming weeks. First of all, Facebook is adding a feature that already exists on Twitter: the ability to control what you share. Every time you post on your feed, the app is going to ask who can comment: everyone, friends, or profiles and pages you mention. The company is also making it easier to control what you see....

Crisis on Infinite Earths incorporates an impressive number of DC TV shows that weren’t previously connected to the Arrowverse, but there are still quite a few missing from the crossover. The five-part event encompasses all of the existing Arrowverse shows - Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Batwoman - but it doesn’t stop there, though. Facebook announced it’s launching new ways to inform people if they’re interacting with content that’s been rated by a fact-checker, as well as taking stronger action against people who repeatedly share misinformation on the platform. Before a user likes a page that repeatedly shared misinformation, Facebook will give a pop-up to warn the user and include what fact-checkers said about some posts shared by the page that includes false information....

According to the Associated Press (via Winnipeg Free Press), Google’s Eric Schmidt attended a press conference during his first visit to South Korea since 2007 on Tuesday where, among other things, he was asked his opinion on Steve Jobs’ claims that Android is a “stolen product”. While calling Jobs a “fantastic human being” and saying he is still “very sad and recovering from the sense of loss”, he had this to say regarding claims that Google ripped off key features of the iPhone for Android:...
