In an outage that’s affected many over the past 30 minutes or so, major products from Facebook including Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, and the giant social network have gone down. Thousands of users have turned to DownDetector this evening to report outage with Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger. We were able to find a new extension on macOS Big Sur beta 3 with codes intended to support “PearlCamera.” You may not remember, but this is the internal codename Apple uses for the TrueDepth camera and Face ID, which was first revealed with the iPhone X leaks in 2017. Codes such as “FaceDetect” and “BioCapture” found within this extension confirms that Apple is preparing macOS to operate with Face ID, as these codes are similar to those used by iOS....

Galileo down: the European Union’s satellite navigation system has been down since Friday due to what has been described as “a technical incident.” Galileo signals can be used by the iPhone 8 and later and Android smartphones for mapping and other location services … Signals from the European system can be used by a number of smartphones, with an outdated list available on the official website. Location services and mapping shouldn’t be noticeably affected, as devices able to receive Galileo signals do so alongside the US GPS ones, and sometimes Russia’s GLONASS system and the Chinese Beidou service too....
EA Access is available now on PS4 with a full list of games, meaning players can download and play a large library of different titles for $4.99 a month or $29.99 for the year. The service first launched on Xbox One back in July of 2014. Later on, a similar service called Origin Access came to PC in 2016. Sony had initially declined to put the service on PS4 but right at the cusp of the next console generation, it seemed to have changed its mind....
