Season 3 of AMC’s Ride with Norman Reedus is proving to be a Walking Dead reunion show as much as it is a motorcycle-centric travelogue with its eponymous star, as proven by an exclusive new clip of this Sunday’s episode. The new season got off to a big start, when Reedus was joined in a tour of the English countryside by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The two stopped by Stonehenge before pausing for some actual tea and crumpets with Andrew Lincoln and his father-in-law, Ian Anderson (who you may know from the band Jethro Tull).
Episode 2 will find Reedus back in the US for a tour of the Bay Area with Steven Yeun. Though Yeun has been gone from The Walking Dead series for longer than Lincoln, having made his famous exit at the start of season 7 back in 2016, his appearance on Ride is perhaps even more appealing considering how long it’s been since he and Reedus have shared the screen. Besides, since his run on the zombie series ended, he’s been in a number of notable films, including Boots Riley’s Sorry to Bother You and Burning, from director Chang-dong Lee, one of the best movies of 2018.

Much of the appeal of Ride with Norman Reedus is to see its star and his guests in their everyday lives (or as close to that as possible with a bunch of cameras around), and given Reedus’s history with the likes of Morgan, Lincoln, and, of course, Yeun, there’s a level of familiarity and camaraderie that’s also interesting to see. As such, the fly-on-the-wall aspect of the show is hard to ignore, and harder to pass up.
But Yeun isn’t the only celebrity stopping by for a chat. Reedus’s tour of the Bay Area will also include an appearance by Primus frontman Les Claypool, as the three discuss their shared interest in the episode’s location and, of course, motorcycles.
